Who We Are...

Cheryl Shannon

President

I am super excited to serve on the 2023-2024 PTO board. I am the proud mother of 4 childern, 3 of which attend Lewisburg Schools. Anakin is in 2nd grade, Rylee in 8th at LMS, Luke a junior at LHS and my oldest daughter is a Petty Officer Second Class in the Navy. I am from Texas but my husband's company brought us to Lewisburg in 2020. I work part time as an admininistrative and marketing coordinator for a Houston real estate team. We have so many great thing planned for our school this year.

Megan Chapman

Vice President

My name is Megan Chapman, and I have a second grader (Teddie) at LES and a 4 year old (Tucker) at home with me! I’ve been married to my husband (Phillip) for 12 years, and he works in Field Finance & Operations at TruGreen in Memphis. To let my creative juices flow, we also own a small screen printing business. We are members at EastPoint Church, where my husband serves as deacon and I teach KidsPoint. We enjoy hanging out with friends, traveling, and going to concerts! It is an honor and a privilege to serve on the board this year!

Lauren Russell

Treasurer

Hi! I’m Lauren Russell, your 2023-2024 PTO Treasurer. My husband, Derek and I are the parents to Harper, a second grader. I’m a native of Collierville, TN and I have lived in Olive Branch for about 11 years. My family loves Disney, Mexican food, spending time with our family and friends and rooting for the Alabama Crimson Tide. I’m excited to serve on your PTO Board this year and I am looking forward to all the fun events coming up!

My name is Jenny DuBois. My husband Cory and I have lived in DeSoto County for 10 years. We LOVE Lewisburg and I’m excited to serve on the PTO board as Secretary for the 23-24 school year. We have 3 kids. Maverick is in third grade at Lewisburg Elementary and Maddie is in sixth grade at Lewisburg Middle. We also have a 3 year old Maxton. I look forward to serving this year on the board to help our teachers, administrators, and kids to have the best year. God has truly blessed us and I give all the glory to him!

Nicole Caldwell

Fundraising

Nicole Caldwell is a long-time resident of Lewisburg and a proud mother of four. She is married to JC Caldwell and is thrilled to be serving as the fundraising coordinator on the LES PTO board. Nicole is dedicated to making a positive impact in her community and is passionate about enhancing the educational experience for students at LES. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and pursuing her hobbies. Nicole's commitment and enthusiasm make her an invaluable asset to the PTO board and the school.

President's Message

Welcome to a new school year at Lewisburg Elementary School! I hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready for an exciting and productive year ahead.

As the president of the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), I am honored and grateful to serve our school community and support our students, teachers, and staff. The PTO is a volunteer group of parents and teachers who work together to enrich the educational experience of our children, foster a positive school climate, and promote communication and collaboration among all members.

Some of the activities and programs that the PTO sponsors or assists with include:

Fundraising events such as the Charleston Wrap, Shirt Sales, Spring Fundraiser and the Book Fair
Teacher appreciation week and staff luncheons
Friendship Week
Field Day
School beautification projects and landscaping
Communication, Newsletter and website updates

We invite you to join the PTO and get involved in any way that suits your interests, skills, and availability. You can also support the PTO by attending our meetings, sharing your ideas and feedback, and participating in our events.

Our first meeting of the year will be on August 29th. Please mark your calendars and join us to learn more about our plans and goals for the year, meet other parents and teachers, and find out how you can get involved.
